How I went from the depths of despair to delighting in life once more....

I wasn't born a skeptic, none of us are. Life experience makes us jaded and skeptical and I was no different....Until I tried a recipe that changed my entire life.
I wouldn't have believed it either. Had I not tried it.... I wasn't going to at first, I had no hope left for a slimmer me. I seemed to have zero self control over what I put in my mouth and I quit caring.
The Difference From My 20's To Now...
Who doesn't remember their 20's? It's been longer for some of us then others, but most remember what it was like. How we could eat whatever we wanted and not gain weight because we were so active. The muscle mass we have in our 20's keep the calorie burn going and staying slim seemed so easy.
I specifically remember this:
✅ I had plenty of energy through the entire day.
✅ I easily maintained a slim figure even while living on fast food, candy and pop.
✅ Ate what I wanted...WHEN I wanted it and didn't gain an ounce.
✅ Stayed in great shape while not setting foot in a gym.
✅ Felt confidant wearing barely there tank tops, bikinis, shorts and dresses...I had the body for it!
Those were the days.... And I missed them dearly. When I hit 40 and things changed dramatically, this became the person staring back at me in the mirror. What happened to me?
Life Began To Change.... And My Body With It
Eventually I had a career, got married and had my daughter. My life was as normal as everyone else's at this time. Filled with friends, fun and family. This took me through my late 20's and into my 30's. It was at the end of my 30's when I really noticed my body had changed.
I started up a gym membership, but never really got fit the way I wanted to. It was as if suddenly, my once slim and trim petite figure began to pile on the pounds and bulge in all the wrong places.
It seemed my metabolism had SLOWED to a crawl. Even my health was deteriorating, and I had very little energy throughout the day.
I thought I just needed more sleep. So, I would go to bed earlier at night, hoping that would help my energy for the following day.
Some nights I’d even sleep 12 HOURS, and still be dragging the next morning. I would be tired all day! I didn’t realize at the time how BAD it had gotten.
After my daughters new job took her to Florida, I got really depressed. She and I did all sorts of things together, that kept me entertained, moving around and social. So when she left.....my normal vanished with her old job. I was happy for her,
but sad for my husband and myself because we missed her. This is change in my life was what really started me on the path to poor physical health. Through the years I had gained weight, but now I was depressed too. My body didn't handle it well. I have a small frame, so the weight looked worse and wreaked havoc on my joints. For two more years the weight kept packing on and before I knew it....I was over 236. It wasn't Emma's fault and I knew that, the fault was mine.
I was miserable.
I was feeling hopeless.
I was sad.
But I was also motivated....

I Needed To Make A Change....NO, I HAD To Make A Change!
First thing I did when realizing I needed to get my health back was start a walking program. Even my husband walked with me. He lost weight....but I didn't.
You know what was worse?
I found out pretty quick that my joints were not going to hold up with all the weight I was carrying now. How was I going to lose this excess baggage without exercise?
Because of this problem new joint problem, I started a detox with smoothies and juicing. I even tried starvation diets and restricted eating programs.
I had some success early with it, but found out it left me too hungry. I ended up snacking or binging and ruining any momentum.
I even tried some weird home remedies that a lady off of YouTube swore by....
I tried various concoctions in the kitchen, with pickle juice, apple cider vinegar, lemons, bananas, and more....
I even tried foot detox pads and putting a peeled onion and teabag in my sock. Embarrassing, I know!
So now I was chubby, stunk like Onion and I was literally hungry all the time! Food consumed my life, and I was getting so depressed.
Yes, I seriously tried this....
The Juice Recipe That Changed it All
This is me NOW down to 141....! I'm 53....and I have never felt better...Just from drinking my daily recipe. It's the Ikaria for sure!
To make things worse, I had a terrible annual check up. Every biomarker for poor health was lit up like a neon sign. My doctor was concerned. He knew about my daughter leaving town and asked if I needed anti- depressants to help me handle my obvious sadness. I turned them down, I didn't want medications with side effects (one of which is weight gain), and I told him this.
I swore to him I would get my weight under control and told him I would try one of the weight loss programs like Weight-Watchers or Jenny Craig. Even my Doctor looked skeptical that I could do it.... Was I imagining that?
As he was leaving the room, I saw him lean over to his nurse and said something to her, which made her nod and smile. She walked in to give me my paperwork and check me out of the office.
